In Memoriam
BSWA lost one of its founding members when Kurt P. Schneider passed away on Friday, March 8, 2005. Kurt was at BSWA's first organizational meeting and he was fundamental in writing the Bylaws and offering valuable advice based on his previous nonprofit experience. He was the watershed association's first Treasurer and he brought humor and reflection to all the meetings he attended, even after he became ill. We'll always remember how Kurt would joke to the group, describing himself as a non-fisherman but always ending with... “there was that time I caught a really big Tarpon.” We are happy that BSWA will be able to celebrate Kurt's presence forever since he was the narrator of our video, “Big Spring--the Rebirth of a Legend” in which he used his flying skills to photograph the Creek from the air. Kurt Schneider will be sorely missed by everyone and BSWA extends our sincere condolences to his wife, Pam, and their three children.
